I designed this World Cup magazine cover concept for my Adobe Photoshop class at Blackhawk Technical College. The cover centers on Cristiano Ronaldo and the headline “CR7: The Last Dance,” combining sports imagery with a bold editorial layout.
A stadium backdrop, fireworks, and layered photographs create an energetic atmosphere. White and gold typography contrasts with deep blue and red tones, while supporting cover lines complete the magazine presentation. This is an unofficial academic design concept.
Established a clear hierarchy with an oversized masthead, a bold main headline, and smaller supporting cover lines, balancing readability with visual impact.
Combined the player portrait, stadium, fireworks, and supporting player images into a layered composition, using scale and placement to create depth and a strong focal point.
Used deep blue, red, white, and gold to unify the cover, with contrasting text panels and supporting details that reinforce the sports-magazine style.
